They’re a robust line of defence in your fire safety arsenal, but it’s important to understand the pros and cons before investing in this solution for your business or commercial space.

Fire shutters are different to security shutters in that they’re primarily fire-resistant and include an automatic closing function when the alarm is triggered (a feature not available with security shutters). They’re designed to fit discreetly into indoor doorways or openings, becoming visible only once deployed.

Maximizing Safety with Fire Rated Shutters: Features and Installation

They’re ideal for any premises where a high level of fire protection is required, including warehouses, factories, kitchens and offices. They can be supplied with a 1, 2 or 4-hour fire rating, and are usually powered by either a three-phase (415V) or single-phase (240V) power supply.
